Opened one hour before drinking. Very slight cloudiness, dark ruby color with a purple tint and a light purplish rim. Strong musty aromas of cherry, raspberry and hints of sweet spices. Silky smooth entry, dry, quite dusty and intense mouthfeel, medium body and a 150-grit texture. Thick and juicy cherry, red current and raspberry fruit flavors with strong peppery spice and a mineral taste. Well balance edgy acidity, firm tannins and a long wild fruit tasting finish. Very interesting red wine, a little rustic, but with just enough refinement to make it captivating. The wild character paired well with the roast pork and in the end we called it a good week-night Spanish red.
