Open and decanted one hour before drinking. Clear, light ruby color with a light purplish color rim. Strong cherry, raspberry, dry old wood, tobacco and hints of wispy floral aromas that were worth the price of the wine. Silky smooth entry, bone dry and energetic mouthfeel, medium body and a 100-grit texture. Very ripe cherry and cranberry fruit, tar, and glimmers of anise flavors. Well balanced fresh acidity, fine grained dusty tannins that blossom in the long cherry and bitter tar finish. WOW, what a delicious Nebbiolo blend. It had real Nebbiolo charm, the magnificent fresh attributes were really special and elegant balance simply outstanding. This was drinking very well at only six years old so put it on your wine shopping/drinking list now…it’s a keeper!!! The blend made it unique and we called it a stunning Nebbiolo, but also and an incredibly delicious red wine.
