Opened one hour before drinking. Clear ruby color with an identical color rim (it was so similar there wasn’t a rim). Robust musty damp earth, red fruit and spicy cinnamon aromas. Silky smooth watery mouthfeel, light body and a 400-grit texture. Really nice concentrated flavors of cherry, raspberry and cranberry fruit with a very pleasant dusting of cinnamon. Light to medium acidity, silky tannins that just had a tiny grip and medium-length bitter and spicy fruit tasting finish. WOW, an unusual smooth, easy drinking red with just enough crispness and tannin grip to provide interest and fascination. It was excellent paired with the salmon and we thoroughly enjoyed it. A marvelous blend from the Loire Valley that was fresh and exhilarating
