Chilled before drinking. Clear, dark oat straw color. Very aromatic with aromas of honey, apple, uncooked Kieffer pears, lemon, fresh sea breeze and just the slightest hints of petrol. Smooth, chalky mouthfeel, medium body and a 200-grit texture. Flavors of apple, Bartlett pears and ripe cantaloupe melon. Crisp acidity and a long tart salty mineral finish. WOW this was one of those wines that improved dramatically from the first pour to the last. It became increasingly fresh, more flavorful, richer and significantly more complex and as it warmed it went from a ho-hum wine to something very special. It slightly reminded us of Italian Chardonnay with lots of mineral taste. Every sip opened new dimensions and we called it an unusual grape that yielded a wonderfully balanced exceptional white wine that was absolutely FANTASTIC!!!
