Tasting:

Opened one hour before drinking. Clear, ruby color with a lighter red rim. Plum, dusty earth and band-aid (that became slightly less on the last pour) aromas. Smooth, dusty and spicy mouthfeel, medium body and 400-grit texture. Juicy plum, blackberry, ripe olives, sage and an underlying stony mineral flavor. Lively edgy acidity, plenty of fine-grained tannins and an uplifting finish that’s filled with dry fruit, sage, peppery spice and grippy tannins. WOW, WOW, WOW…This is actually a very captivating red blend and once you get past the medical band-aid component of the aroma it really soars. We called it a silky, alluring and memorable Syrah blend and said it easily fits into the TastedOnline.com quality wine at a bargain price category. Nothing is “Perfect”, but this wine was only one step away and it’s a GREAT value!!!
