Tasting:
-
Chilled before drinking. Clear orange-salmon color. Light apple, citrus and yeasty aromas. Smooth, slightly oxidative mouthfeel, dry, abundant 100-grit texture and a medium-full body. Cooked apple, mineral and nutty flavors. Fresh acidity, and a long chewy mineral finish. An “Orange wine” that was a heavy white wine, yet it had a freshness that was quite uplifting and refreshing. We both immediately said it was unique, exhilarating and opulent, but with a Napa Valley price tag. It would be interesting to blind taste in a black glass!!! Expensive, unusual and savory white wine.
