He said: Slightly opaque, dark ruby red/purple color. Ripe berry and barnyard bouquet. Thin, dark fruit taste that continues into a dry somewhat tart medium length finish. This is a good “every`day” Cabernet, but it lacks anything noteworthy. Would I buy it again? Yes, at $10.00 it’s not strong flavored, but is a tasty red wine that’s much better than the run-of-the-mill inexpensive Cabernet Sauvignon.
She said: We were impressed enough by this wine at a recent wine pairing dinner to buy some bottles, but it did not measure up to our expectations. That may be because our pairing was so different; this time medium flavored chili with very little heat. The bouquet was light and pleasant, the flavor with a touch of barnyard was also pleasant. Dryness, acidity and tannins were good. The issue was really the body; too light for my taste, but the medium long finish was enjoyable. At $10.00 it is a reasonable buy, but no bargain. If you like oaked Cabs, don’t bother with this one.
