Tasting:
-
Chilled before drinking. Clear, light wheat straw color. Strong citrus, grassy, and freshly sharpened pencil aromas with hints of ripe peach. Vibrant, ACIDIC, dry with light to medium-body and a 150-grit texture. Accentuated lemon, pear and tropical fruit flavors attached to a relentless chalky mineral framework. Gobs of edgy acidity, and a very long tart California grapefruit tasting finish. WOW…every sip was sensational and it was one of the finest examples of a mineral backbone we have found in a long time…and we LOVE mineral. A little bit unusual with the brisk acidity, but in the end it was a FANTASTIC Aligoté.
