Tasting:

Opened one hour before drinking. Clear, dark ruby and purple color with a very slightly lighter rim. Cherry, raspberry and forsythia (Forsythia suspensa) blossom aromas (with just a touch of alcohol on the first pour). VERY, VERY smooth and approachable with a light-medium body and 100-grit texture. Strong, easily identifiable tart cherry, raspberry and strawberry flavors. Ample fresh acidity, plenty of silky tannins and a long finish that ends with a tiny touch of licorice. WOW, great Italian red at a SUPER price. Simply delicious wine that may have the softest dry tannins we have had in a long time. Fresh, easy drinking Sicilian red wine that’s an excellent value.
