Chilled before opening. Almost clear, pumpkin orange color. A bit oxidized with a smooth, flat (or with no acidity) entry and aromas of not-quite-ripe honeydew melon that had no life left in it. As each sip swirled in the mouth it was dominated by a medicinal or band aid taste. The lingering finish was dry, but with sour flavors in the aftertaste. Clearly this wine was over the hill. There were hints of limestone, but they were overpowered by the off aromas and flavors. What should have been a wonderful Jura Chardonnay was very disappointing. This goes into our category of a “spoiled, corked or bad” bottle!!!
