He said: Ruby red with the same color rim. Ripened cherry, dark fruit, a bit of damp earth and leather aromas. Smooth, dry and dusty mouth feel; cherry and raspberry flavors with plenty of edgy acidity, fine grained tannins and even a dusty lapilli taste in the finish. Robust, juicy and intense fruit from start to finish that are in harmony with the acidity and tannins. The label showed 14.5% alcohol, but it was impossible to identify in either the aroma or taste. A powerful, yet refined red that’s a superb Sicilian wine.
She said: Opaque, ruby red color with a light ruby rim, thin, irregularly spaced legs that were slowly moving. With lots of earthiness touched with red fruit in the aroma, the wine offered a mouthful of similar flavors complemented by a full body, pleasant lively acidity and smooth mouth-feel. The smooth tannins developed slowly and ended with a long juicy finish. Excellent easy drinking wine that’s a very good buy. Good paired with the mussels in red sauce, but very food friendly and I would recommend it and buy it again.
